Goma [Goh-Mah]

Goma (sesame seeds) is one of the key players in our ramen. Known to have one of the highest oil content of any seed. Goma consists of the three major nutrients of our diet with 50% Fat, 20% Protein, and 15% Sugar, in addition to minerals such as Calcium. The majority of the fat are made up of high quality linolic acid, type of unsaturated fat which is essential for our body. Linolic acid, which are not produced in our body, creates hormone which lowers our cholesterol level once in our body, and eventually cleanses our blood. Also included is a minor component known as "Sesame Lignan" which is packed with antioxidant power. Sesame Lignan is also said to promote beautiful skin, accelerate metabolism, and anti-aging.

All Okuhara sauces, are produced in our factory in Sapporo city, Hokkaido. Our culinary artisans has been making the sauce from day one, leveraging the land's extreme cold weather and humidity. Now we proudly present our sauce to Los Angeles.

Our soup are made 'Tonkotsu' style, which is made from boiling pork bones, fat and collagen. Unlike the traditional Tonkotsu soup, our soup are known for its' surprisingly refreshing aftertaste followed by the heavy creamy first sip.

Made only by the cream of the crop ingredients of Hokkaido. Born in the land of extreme weather, we bring to you our ramen with peak of perfection. One of the most important step in preparing the ramen is the final step, which is the soup preparation stage. The sauce and the soup are blended on high heat for each and every order. This final touch, passed from the renowned eatery "Hayatemaru", unifies all the ingredients and perfects the dish.
